WIC Online Shopping Brief Report: Small, Tribal, and Rural Vendors, Farmers, and Farmers Markets

WIC-authorized vendors, farmers, and farmers markets play a critical role in the expansion and reach of WIC online shopping; however, perspectives on online shopping across vendor types, farmers, and farmers markets is limited. The Center for Nutrition & Health Impact (CNHI) conducted the Small, Tribal, and Rural Vendors, Farmers, and Farmers Markets (STRFM) Study to expand understanding of the factors related to WIC online shopping for these vendor types, farmers, and farmers markets.

This brief report details the methods and results of the STRFM Study, including reported facilitators and barriers related to WIC online shopping among STRFM compiled from iterative information gathering and feedback. Results from the study will inform technical assistance resources for small, tribal, and rural vendors, farmers, and farmers markets interested in pursuing WIC online shopping.
